Celine: They are little cottages on rented little parcels of land.
These alotments came as a result of people living in the city being able to grow their own food, but today they are mostly used as summer/weekend cottages.

These cottages are definitely not as idyllic as they look. Up to a few years ago some served as very cheap all year housing for poor/alcoholic/drug addicts untill they "cleaned" them up.

What a beautiful place! I like all these small wooden houses.
