A Walk in the Woods

IMG_3946
During our stay at the cabin in Erikstad Dad and I managed to go for a little walk in the woods. It has been mostly wet this summer, and the woods felt more like a rainforest than a broadleaf one.

In southern Norway oak trees are dominant. Most of the pine is planted. And inbetween there are these ancient looking firs. I love them. Like they are from dinasaur times.

They just marked the forest walk. It is right across the road from our cabin. Can you see the yellow dots?

I'm considering picking these clovers and selling them to restaurants. They have a delicious sour taste that goes well in salads.

The ground (and some of the tree branches) was covered in moss, adding to the rainforest feel.

We both found the top of the mountain.

... and fortunately the moose didn't find us.

  2. We just creamed them and ate them for supper. Yum! And thanks for the photo-feedback :-)

... and I'm glad we didn't see the moose. They're big!

  3. Takk ;-) men denne skogen er utenfor hytta vår på Sørlandet. Litt varmere der.

Her hjemme er det mer strender og barskog.
