Hjelmeland

I havn't spent too much time in Ryfylke, but it really is becoming one of my favourite areas of Norway. We just recently visited friends in Finnøy, and the other day we spent at some other friends cabin in Hjelmeland.

They have a Big Brother too. Same age as mine. And they are expecting a Little Sister in less than a month. Needless to say the boys (all ages) had fun both on and off shore. Little Brother and the girls hung out on land.

Except for a swim in the ocean. Beautiful warm (18 degrees) ocean. I have to do more of that in our holidays.

Birthday in the Sun

We've been having some beautiful summer days in the sun. One of them was spent with Lotte on her birthday. She turned five. And the cake. Pink of course.

Funny to think that last time neither Little Brother or Lottes little sister were born.

It's funny how being plonked into the same life situation connects people. I'm now a member of the official baby neighbourhood, and here we talk about spit-up, pooey diapers and babysmiles. I love it!

And in these connections I realise how intertwined people are. This person knows that person, and suddenly they are not so strange anymore. 

Just spent the last three hours talking to girls who not so long ago were complete strangers.

A cup of coffee and a brownie is all it takes.

Finnøy

We went to a birthdayparty at Big Mans best friends cabin. We celebrated with cupcakes, egg races and a sun that managed to break through what was supposed to be rain.

Gorgeous cabin, gorgeous surroundings and only a 45 minutes drive from our house. Finnøy is an island that just got an under-sea tunnel to connect it to the mainland.

My Random Seven

I got tagged by Nancy at BLissed-Out Grandma (can you see what it spells?) The beautiful blogger award is an honour. And she always leaves these lovely comments on my posts. I'm short cutting. Giving you guys seven randoms that I posted with my self portrait on Flickr.

1. I don't need to wear full make-up for self portraits. The preassure of there being half an hour left of the day to do my 365 project is pressure enough to make me do it anyways. And pasty wintery skin looks cool when you mess up the colours after.

2. I'm seriously self concious as to if you all like this. I guess  I'm more of a comfort-zone girl than I like to admit.

3. I'm not very good at treating myself with the same kindness and understanding that I do others. I'm definitely working on it.

4. I get really upset when treated unfairly. I've grown up in socialist-Norway and expect everyone to get the same chance.

5. I like to think I'm environmental and all eco-choice, but I really love driving fast with Beastie Boys blaring in my little car.

6. I'm a collector, I give things personality, and I keep having to remind mself they are only things.

7. I want to make a difference.

I had the chocolate and passionfruit mousse.

What a lovely little Blog Camp it was. Wine, food, photography and we didn't even make it into the blue room. Julochka really knows how to put up a guest. And to let her rest after a hectic week at COP 15.
