Crisp mornings, low sun and reds. My kinda Autumn. For more corner views check out Theresa.

Still Here

Both me, my belly and the remnants of summer.

Ledaal

Ledaal is a museum in Stavanger, but also where the king lives when he is in town. It's signalled by the flag above the balcony being up. As you can see, no flag, hence no king.

The morning sunshine was there though.

But what I associate the most with this park is that it is where I had my gym-classes in high school. We played football (or soccer for you Americans) on the kings lawn.

Yup.

Morning Sunshine

These low-sun mornings always grab me by suprise. Did one of these leaf-shots last year, but had to do another. You can decide which one is better.

Picking Apples

Definitely an autumn activity. Happened last weekend, but might as well been this one. Between days of downpour we're having gorgeous gorgeous sunshine.

My days are slow and busy at the same time. Lots of desicions to make, loads of things to tick of the to-do list. But we are getting there in spite of my house and garden being a complete mess.

At least the alotment is spilling over with freshness and green. And when I get my kitchen back I promise some apple cake.

Setting Sun

Not that there is any sun today. The rain is intense. Big puddles forming that make me feel like I'm driving through Australian rivers in the rainy season.

This pumpkin makes me happy though. It greets me at my parents appartment door every day. We have been living here as we are doing up our house. It's coming along quickly now, and my time is concentrated with tile and tub decisions.

And it hits me that although I know our house is not growing on its own, we are in a very organic and evolving time. Seasons changing, house changing, baby growing and definitely life changing. And yeah, I know I have been rambling on about this for a while, but hey, that's what my live is evolving around at the mo.

And I promise to share som interior inspiration with you. I'm loving Ulrikas new blog, and am totally relating with her. She has a growing belly too, and is expecting in December. As well as she has a growing house. And she's posting all these inspiring interiors.

And now its back to sinks and paint.

Maritime Scenes

From Tananger. Known for lobsters, crabs and prawns. Lobster season starts in October, and it looks like the fishermen are getting the pots ready now.

Yellow

... to brighten up, what is here, a grey and damp day. Especially the laundry makes me happy happy.

The Last of Summer

After our August downpour I really thought we'd seen the end of summer. But over the last week or so the sun has been radiant, the temperatures warm and life has been easy. The sun makes the fjord look like it's sparkling with diamonds.

We've had visitors from Australia, and it's always fun to view home from a newcomers perspective. It always makes me appreciate it more.

The light is getting warmer, lower, and is really inspiring some (very short) photo-walks. My pelvis is completely buggered, and I can't wait to get the pram out and walk walk walk once Little Brother shows his face.

All in good time.

Growing and Changing

Life is definitely changing these days. Not only the season, but also our house. We're doing it up, and have lived as nomads the last three weeks. By tomorrow we know we'll be put in the same place for another three weeks, and then hopefully back in the house by early October.

Another thing that is definitely changing is my body. So many kicks and punches on the inside that it feels like this Little Brother is going to pop through my skin. And with Autumn my mind set is changing too. Not being able to nest is also making me incredibly restless and leaving me with a feeling of having to do a thousand things at once but not getting anything done.

I have to stop myself from writing lists that only make me feel more unable to complete things.

I guess I need some sort of distraction.

Jumping in Puddles

It has been a few rainy days lately, and I can tell we have had an allright summer because it feels weird and wrong.

More annoyingly I don't have an coats that fit over my HUGE tummy (yes, I had to yell).

But. It does feel kinda appropriate as we transition into Autumn, and I want to look at the rain as an oppertunity for fun just like those two good friends above.

And on that note. I think I'll go and jump in some puddles. Or at least waddle trough them.
