Treasures
We've been moving rooms around in the house, and I've been looking in drawers and boxes I havn't opened for years. And I found treasure.
The ring above is opal, my birthstone, and my Dad made it for me a few years back. I used to wear rings all the time. Now it fels unnatural.
The bracelet above is from a holiday in Nice, and I've decided to at least try to wear it. Although when I wear it I think I'm wearing a watch and I keep looking for the time.
I put most of my jewelry away when Big Brother was born as he would tug and pull on both earrings and necklaces. I rediscovered these the other day.
It made me remember how much I love turquoise.

Crafty Project
I'm channelling some of that creative energy inbetween breastfeeding and dinner making into something solid. And I have decided on something simple for satisfying quick results.
I'm almost done, but you have to wait till tomorrow to see the final result. Can you guess what it is?

Kitchenscapes
I love to have Big Brothers dinged up lunchboxes on display, and I keep buying him more. And the rustier they get, the more I love them. I like the thought of his kids one day finding them, marked with his name, in a carboard box somewhere.
The little pandaboy is a favourite at the mo. I've realised that I'm addicted to playfull and colourful things all over my home. The tea-light is Iittalas 'Kivi'.
More lunchboxes. My breadbox, and a Danish butterdish that doesn't fit Norwegian butter.
The pirahna and tractor lunchbox is from the Norwegian designer Blafre. Just got a really cool new one for my niece in Vancouver for Christmas.
A white collection. 'inner calmness' bought at the Danish Design Centre in their soul supermarket (at least that is how I remember it). The matryoshka measuring cups were a Christmast-gift from Sister.
My Auntie Gwen made the possum print. My cookbooks on the top shelf, along with wine that I never get to drink. And below, musli, chanterelles and condiments in the morning light. The little bowl is filled with Maldon salt, and I can't live without freshly ground black pepper.

Picking Apples
Definitely an autumn activity. Happened last weekend, but might as well been this one. Between days of downpour we're having gorgeous gorgeous sunshine.
My days are slow and busy at the same time. Lots of desicions to make, loads of things to tick of the to-do list. But we are getting there in spite of my house and garden being a complete mess.
At least the alotment is spilling over with freshness and green. And when I get my kitchen back I promise some apple cake.
