The Last of Summer

After our August downpour I really thought we'd seen the end of summer. But over the last week or so the sun has been radiant, the temperatures warm and life has been easy. The sun makes the fjord look like it's sparkling with diamonds.

We've had visitors from Australia, and it's always fun to view home from a newcomers perspective. It always makes me appreciate it more.

The light is getting warmer, lower, and is really inspiring some (very short) photo-walks. My pelvis is completely buggered, and I can't wait to get the pram out and walk walk walk once Little Brother shows his face.

All in good time.

Sunday Session

Two violets decided to break through the gravel.

We spent Sunday afternoon at my parents alotment in beautiful September sun and with home grown food. We've been promised another week of wonderful weather, and I'm totally making the most of it as I know it will soon end.

My Grandfather made this. He died in 1996.

The starlings are gathering before they migrate south.

We're getting that beautiful Autumn light, and I can't wait to take pics in it.

Dad managed to grow some corn. Sweet and delicious on the barbie.

Pumkin flower. Hopefully turned into soup in a month or two.

The strawberries reckon they can cling on a little longer.

Looking a little frail, but definitely still in the game.

In addition to roast veggies we had whole grilled filet mignon.

Not so good for eating, but delicious as juice or in baking.

New Park, New Art

The result of my inspiration overload on Saturday. These pics are from Tou Scene, an old brewery turned into art space/gallery/club/studio etc etc. It is also the base of the music festival Numusic and Nuart, a street art exhibition that I have posted pics from earlier.

Inspired

I've just had one of those inspired beautiful days, and I can't wait to show it all. Feels like flying.

Growing and Changing

Life is definitely changing these days. Not only the season, but also our house. We're doing it up, and have lived as nomads the last three weeks. By tomorrow we know we'll be put in the same place for another three weeks, and then hopefully back in the house by early October.

Another thing that is definitely changing is my body. So many kicks and punches on the inside that it feels like this Little Brother is going to pop through my skin. And with Autumn my mind set is changing too. Not being able to nest is also making me incredibly restless and leaving me with a feeling of having to do a thousand things at once but not getting anything done.

I have to stop myself from writing lists that only make me feel more unable to complete things.

I guess I need some sort of distraction.
